The End of the Beginning comprises twelve linocut prints which accompany 12 typewritten poems written by Duncan McAfee. Six of the prints were made in response to their accompanying poems, and six of the poems were made in response to their accompanying prints. The order in which each pair was made is withheld, so questioning a preconceived contingency of narrative and illustration.
